It’s all happening at Tell the Story Now. You can read the previous post and learn about my path if you are as interested in process as I am. If not, please visit my site at Tell the Story Now or Photos by Peggy to learn about my work with nonprofits and social media! Thanks for stopping here and wait until you see what’s up!

As a PhD social worker I have a deep passion about nonprofit organizations, the staff who work there, and the clients they serve. As a woman who has run her own small business, I also have a deep passion for small business owners, the staff who work for them and the dreams they are trying to make real.
In previous posts, you have heard me describe my attempts to create a new professional path after I closed my business and moved to Atlanta from DC. I have struggled to combine my love and recent learning about technology with my passions. But this path has not been straight. I have worked in web design, photography as story telling, and training on social media and technology.
Last fall, I presented at the annual conference of the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. It was here that the lights became brighter to help me see my path.
Many of you have visited my site on nonprofits and social media at www.tellthestorynow.com. You have seen the video that I used in that presentation and seen the powerpoint at my slideshare site. Since then, my world has gotten very exciting.
I spent the last three days at the Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC), put on by the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN). I am so pumped I couldn’t stop, so I am updating my blogs to bring you all up to date. The purpose of this post is not to give you all the details of the conference material (God knows there is enough on twitter to take you several days to read.) My purpose is to tell you how it focused my direction.
I am ready to be your social media guru. I can teach it, talk it, work it, build it, create it, manage it, analyze it and make it a real part of your organization. Just ask me. Call me. Talk to me! Tweet me – @TellTheStoryNow. Whatever.
I believe that social media is about using tools to tell your story (NOW)! I also believe photography is a tool to tell a story. The circle is complete, the path (at least for now) is before me. Of course I know the only constant is change, but from now on I will be describing my changes in these two places (oh, yeah, and all the other social media sites of Tell the Story Now and my present and future clients).
So if you are looking for me these days, you need to visit Tell the Story Now and Photos by Peggy. Oh, yeah and any of the social media sites that follow from the buttons in the sidebar. Come and hear the stories! You never know what you will find!!
